Clessidra renews efforts to sell 350 MW Prenergy biomass project in UK

In the UK, Italian private equity firm Clessidra announced that it will sell the 350 MW Prenergy power station project which, when completed, will be the UK’s largest biomass-fired power plant. 8.4 MW CHP project in Belgium awarded to Metso by 4HamCogen

In Belgium, Metso announced that it will construct an 8.4 MW combined heat and power plant for 4HamCogen. The plant will be constructed in the province of Limburg, and will also supply up to 14 MW of heat.

The plant is expected to open power in Q2 2011 and use will use non-contaminated biomass.

In Colorado, the state Department of Agriculture’s Advancing Colorado’s Renewable Energy program announced $500,000 in research grants to eleven projects.
