Canada government gives over $1m to develop forestry-based biomass industry
In Canada, the government of Quebec has given $1,038,440 to three organizations to help support the development of a forestry-based biomass industry in the La Matapédia region.
Included in the program, local education providers Service de recherche et d’expertise en transformation des produits forestiers (SEREX) will receive a grant to design and create a prototype of a biomass boiler for local use as well as to help local businesses enter the sector.
