Summerhill Biomass technology for fine grinding biomass for heat production gains traction, NYSERDA grant
In New York, Biomass Magazine is reporting on Summerhill Biomass Systems, which has developed a technology for finely grinding and burning biomass for heat. “We can produce energy from the waste products that other biomass producers and green energy companies leave behind,” Lee McKnight told Biomass. The power burns like gas, according to the project developers, and costs less than heating oil.
NYSERDA made a $75,000 grant to Summerhill to assist in the development of the technology.
